Khaberni - Egyptian artist Mohamed Adel Emam settled the debate that has been circulating in recent days regarding the identity of the highest paid artist in the art scene, following statements attributed to him on social media.
Mohamed Emam said in a post on his official Facebook page: "To clarify the matter and settle the debate, statements have been attributed to me which I did not make. The legend Adel Emam is still the highest paid in the Arab world, and none of us come close to this figure. There are major stars who achieve the highest revenues in cinema, and brilliant stars in drama who receive the highest salaries, and this does not deny that I am one of them."
He added: "Greetings to all my fellow artists, as all of us strive our best to make the audience happy, and this post is just a jest with my friends and fans so as not to cause an unnecessary stir."
Controversy and Criticism
Artist Ahmed El Awadi caused widespread controversy recently, following statements in which he claimed to top the list of the highest paid and most watched artists, which was met with criticism from some media figures and social media users.
In his response to those criticisms, El Awadi clarified that his statements were not exaggerated or pretentious, emphasizing that what he said was based on real numbers and statistics reflecting the viewership and success of his recent works.
El Awadi emphasized that success should be measured by digital indicators and audience reactions, not personal efforts, noting his full respect for all his colleagues in the art scene and his appreciation for all different artistic experiences.

Mohamed Emam is currently experiencing a surge of activity and is preparing for the upcoming 2026 Ramadan drama race with a new series titled "The King," betting on this new dramatic experience during the anticipated season.
He is also awaiting the release of the film "Shams El Zenaty 2," which offers a dramatic treatment of the events preceding the famous film presented by his father, the leader Adel Emam, with a selection of stars, including Mahmoud Hemeida, Sawsan Badr, Mahmoud El Gendi, Ahmed Maher, Mostafa Metwally, Ibrahim Nasr, Rushdy El Mahdy, Ali Abdel Rahim, Nouha Al Amrousy, and Saeed Tarabeek.
