The 5 leaders whose deaths were mourned by AlQassam and what roles did they play

Khaberni  - Abu Ubaida, the new spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades -the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas)- mourned several prominent military leaders who died during the "Aqsa Flood" battle that lasted two full years.

The new spokesperson of Al-Qassam documented the tasks and responsibilities undertaken by each leader, describing them as part of the military structure that managed the confrontation with the Israeli occupation.

 

Mohammad Al-Sinwar

•           The Chief of Staff in the brigades during the recent war on the Gaza Strip, following the martyrdom of Mohammed Deif.

•           He was the Operations Officer in the Al-Qassam Brigades and the commander of the Khan Younis brigade.

•           The mastermind behind several quality military operations against the Israeli occupation.

•           Led the development of the Qassam's complex tunnel network.

•           Commanded the operation to capture the Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit in 2006.

•           One of the main figures responsible for the October 7, 2023 attack.

•           The occupation forces conducted a wide military operation in Khan Younis, after which his assassination was declared.

 

Mohammed Shebana

•           The commander of the Rafah brigade and a member of the military council.

•           Led the military media department for years.

•           A prominent field commander in the city of Rafah.

•           Oversaw the execution of attacks against the occupation forces in the southern Gaza Strip.

•           Assassinated by the Israeli occupation in the south of the Strip.

 

Hakim Al-Issa

•           One of the prominent military leaders in the Al-Qassam Brigades.

•           A founder and pioneer in the brigade's military training system.

•           Supervised the training of field forces and elite forces.

•           Developed comprehensive defensive plans for Al-Qassam.

•           Transferred training expertise from abroad to the Palestinian interior.

•           Contributed to building the technical and structural infrastructure that has produced thousands of fighters.

•           The originator of the institutional approach in military training.

•           Targeted by the occupation in June last year and killed by bombardment in the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City.

 

Raed Saad

•           Responsible for the military manufacturing department in the Al-Qassam Brigades.

•           One of the founders of the first generation of Al-Qassam.

•           The principal person responsible for the production lines of the "Yaseen 105" anti-tank projectile.

•           Supervised the development of explosive warheads for missiles.

•           Contributed to the development of the M75 rocket used to target the city of Tel Aviv.

•           Assassinated by Israel on October 13, 2025, amidst ceasefire agreement breaches.

•           Survived previous assassination attempts.

 

Abu Ubaida

•           The official spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades.

•           The media face of Al-Qassam during military confrontations.

•           Delivered official statements and news of military operations.

•           Played a central role in countering Israeli media campaigns.

•           Contributed to boosting the morale of the resistance fighters and Palestinian public.

•           Granted Al-Qassam a significant media presence locally and internationally.
