Khaberni - U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that Hamas has a short time to disarm, warning that the situation will be “terrible” for the movement if it does not relinquish its weapons as promised.
Speaking alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday evening (U.S. time), during Netanyahu’s visit to Washington, Trump mentioned that some countries have signed an agreement concerning Gaza based on a commitment by Hamas to disarm, hinting at severe consequences if the commitment is not upheld.
The Palestinian Authority and the West Bank
For his part, Netanyahu said that President Trump has set conditions related to the reforms that the Palestinian Authority must undertake.
In contrast, Trump acknowledged the lack of a complete agreement with Israel regarding the issue of settler violence in the West Bank.
Hezbollah and Lebanon
Trump also addressed the situation in Lebanon, considering that Hezbollah “behaves badly,” adding that Washington is monitoring the Lebanese efforts to disarm it and the outcomes thereof.
