Khaberni - The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research confirmed that the authority to decide on delaying university classes or switching to an online learning system (remotely) exclusively falls within the competences of the university presidents, and no centralized uniform decision concerning this is issued by the Ministry.
The ministry's spokesperson, Mohannad Al-Khatib, stated that the rumors of a decision covering all higher education institutions are inaccurate, clarifying that each university has its own assessment of the surrounding circumstances, and in line with its legal powers.
Al-Khatib added that this clarification comes in light of increasing inquiries from students about the nature of university attendance during the current period, urging students to follow the official websites of their universities and their verified accounts on social media platforms to stay informed about any decisions made by the university presidency.
Al-Khatib emphasized the importance of obtaining information from its official sources, wishing safety for all students.
