Jordan Meteorology Days of cold weather and rain

The Meteorological Administration announced, Friday evening, the expected weather conditions for the upcoming four days, as the Kingdom is affected by a series of low-pressure systems accompanied by cold and humid air masses, leading to cold weather, varying rain intensities, and warnings related to floods and low visibility.

Saturday:
The Kingdom will be under the influence of a low-pressure extension centered over the island of Cyprus, with a slight drop in temperatures resulting in cold and partly cloudy weather turning into cloudy. Rain will fall occasionally in the north and center of the Kingdom and parts of the eastern and southwestern regions, with an expectation of being heavy at times during the evening and night, possibly accompanied by thunder and hail.
The Meteorology warns of the danger of flood formation, reduced visibility due to fog and dust, and slipping on wet roads.

Sunday:
The Kingdom remains under the influence of the cold and humid air mass, with cold, cloudy, and rainy weather in the north and center of the Kingdom and parts of the south and east including Aqaba. The winds will be westerly active with strong gusts that may reach speeds of 50-60 km/h, raising dust especially in desert areas.
Warnings include the danger of floods, wind intensity, and reduced or zero horizontal visibility in some areas.
Monday:
Jordan will be affected by a new low-pressure system centered over the island of Cyprus, and the weather continues to be cold and cloudy with renewed rainfall, which may be heavy at times in the north and center of the Kingdom and accompanied by thunder. Westerly winds also strengthen with strong gusts reaching speeds of 60-70 km/h. in some areas with similar warnings relating to floods including the Dead Sea area, and warnings of wind intensity.

Tuesday:
A slight rise in temperatures occurs during the day, with the weather remaining cold in most areas and pleasant in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. There remains a weak chance of light rain showers in the morning in the north and center of the Kingdom. At night, the weather tends to be cold with fog forming over the mountainous heights.
The Meteorological Administration urges citizens to follow regular updates and take warnings seriously, especially regarding avoiding flood channels and being cautious while driving on roads experiencing rainfall.
