Khaberni - The teams of the Jordanian Customs Department, represented by the Anti-Smuggling Directorate, successfully apprehended 3 unique cases within 48 hours in their ongoing efforts to combat smuggling operations and protect the community and national economy.
The patrols operating in the northern region within their jurisdiction apprehended a vehicle carrying about 80,000 pills of the drug Captagon, where the items were seized and the case was referred to the competent authorities for the necessary legal procedures.
In the same context, the patrols operating in the southern region, after a chase and the application of engagement rules with the smugglers, managed to apprehend 29,000 Captagon pills, while another apprehension operation resulting from thorough follow-up and precise intelligence effort led to the seizure of 2 kilograms of marijuana drug, in cooperation with the relevant security agencies.
"Customs" confirms that its teams continue to perform their national duty with efficiency and prowess, through integrative efforts and close cooperation with various security agencies to work side by side in protecting the national economy and the community from the drug menace and its risks to individuals, society, and the mitigation of smuggling impacts on the community.
