AlQadi Women are key partners in the journey of development and modernization

The Parliamentary Committee on Women and Family Affairs, chaired by MP Falhiya Al-Khudair, held a meeting today Monday, attended by the Speaker of the House of Representatives Mazen Al-Qadi, during which the work plan of the committee for the coming phase was discussed.
Al-Qadi stated that His Majesty King Abdullah II, and His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, give special importance to Jordanian women, stemming from the belief in their role as key partners in the national journey of construction and modernization, and their ability to actively contribute in various public work positions, explaining that this royal interest embodies the civilized and advanced thought of the Jordanian state.
He emphasized that the royal directives form a working umbrella for the House of Representatives in supporting and empowering women, and enhancing their presence in public life, especially in parliamentary work and decision-making positions, in accordance with the aspirations of the Jordanian state and the pathways to comprehensive modernization.
He stressed the importance of highlighting the role of the committee and its work to the public, through its distinct interaction with national issues related to women and the Jordanian family, confirming that family stability represents a national priority that is integrated in achieving through legislative and executive roles, which positively reflects on the public good.
For her part, Al-Khudair said that the committee plays an effective role in enhancing the presence of women in public and parliamentary work, through contributing to legislation and oversight, defending community issues, and empowering Jordanian women in various fields.
She added that the family forms the foundation in building the society and the state, and that its stability represents the first incubator for national values, and the basis for preparing generations capable of continuing the journey of construction and development, and supporting the path of comprehensive development in various sectors.
She reviewed the work plan of the committee for the second ordinary session, which includes reviewing legislation and improving public policies related to women and the family, launching initiatives that have a tangible impact on women, and contribute to improving their social and economic conditions, developing their capabilities, enhancing their political participation, and empowering them economically, in addition to enhancing the protection of the family in its various components.
In turn, the MPs: Hala Al-Jarrah, Maissoun Al-Qawaabeah, Haitham Zayadin, Islam Al-Azazmeh, Rania Khalifat, Mai Al-Harahsheh, Iman Al-Abbasi, Bayan Al-Mohaisen, Huda Naffa, Feryal Bani Salman, and Shifaa Muqabla, emphasized that women are key partners in the national work journey, and that continuing their support and empowerment in various fields, and expanding their participation in public and political life, is a guarantee for the cohesion of the society, considering them as the core of the family which forms the foundation in building the human and his thought, stressing that preserving the family is among the national goals in which the efforts of institutions converge, to provide a safe and healthy environment for raising future generations.
