The Education Parliamentary Committee Approves Articles in the Education and Resource Development Law

Khaberni  - The Education and Teaching Parliamentary Committee, chaired by MP Ibrahim Al-Qaraleh, today, Tuesday, approved several articles from the draft law on education and human resources development for the year 2026, in the presence of the Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Azmi Mahafaza.

Al-Qaraleh affirmed that the draft law is one of the fundamental legislative pillars in the path of developing the education sector and human resources, pointing out that the discussions of its articles take place within an in-depth dialogue based on specialized educational experiences, balancing reformist ambitions with the requirements of the educational reality.

He indicated that the project aims to update the legislative framework regulating the education sector and to improve the quality of its outcomes, in a manner that keeps pace with modern educational transformations and meets the needs of national development.

For their part, the deputies: Issa Nassar, Ibrahim Al-Humaidi, Rania Khalifat, Huda Al-Atoum, Tamara Naser Al-Din, Ahmad Al-Raqab, Mohammad Al-Raoud, Mohammad Al-Maharmeh, Talal Al-Nasour, Sam Al-Rubaihat, Nimr Al-Silhaat, Ibrahim Al-Tarawneh, and Abdul Rahman Al-Awaisha, emphasized the necessity of addressing the structural challenges facing the education sector, confirming the importance of developing curricula, qualifying educational staff, and enhancing the alignment of educational outcomes with labor market requirements.

They asserted that the approval of the project's articles should directly reflect on improving the quality of education and services provided to students, contributing to building a more efficient and capable educational system to meet the stage's requirements.

For his part, Mahafaza reviewed the main bases of the draft law, affirming that the project focuses on developing the educational system and enhancing the efficiency of its outcomes.
