Jordan Chamber of Commerce Participates in the Largest Economic Gathering of the Arab Private Sector

Khaberni - The president of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, His Excellency Khalil Haj Tawfiq, participated in the 136th session of the Board of Directors of the Union of Arab Chambers held in Cairo, at the invitation of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce.
According to a statement by the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, delegations from 18 Arab countries participated in the session, represented by chamber presidents, board members, chamber unions, and the League of Arab States.
 The participants discussed a range of issues and strategic items related to developing the reality of the economy and the Arab private sector in line with the transformations the world is witnessing in terms of digital transformation, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and other vital fields and issues that contribute to achieving sustainable development goals in Arab countries.
During the session, a significant group of initiatives were launched including support for Palestinian commercial chambers and the private sector represented by the Union of Palestinian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture to enable chambers to play an effective economic role.
In this regard, the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, through its president Sheikh Faisal Al-Rawas, presented an initiative to hold an exhibition in Jordan to support Palestinian local products, contributing to the support of the chambers' union and the Palestinian economy, encouraging and enabling Palestinians to persevere on their land.
The participants announced their support for the effective return of the Syrian Chambers of Commerce Federation which expressed its commitment to all requisite duties, and that the Arab private sector is ready to strongly participate in supporting the revival and stability in Syria.
On the sidelines of the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Union of Arab Chambers, Haj Tawfiq held a series of meetings  with many Arab chamber presidents and participating delegations to enhance Arab cooperation, promote investment in Jordan, and unify the efforts of the Arab private sector in light of global economic challenges.
Haj Tawfiq affirmed that the Jordan Chamber of Commerce is an active member in the Union of Arab Chambers and always presents initiatives and proposals that aim to unify the voice of the Arab private sector, call for Arab economic unity and integration, and prioritize the investment of Arab funds in Arab countries to create job opportunities for youth.
