Khaberni - The selling price of a gram of 21K gold, which is most desired by the citizens in the local market, on Saturday stood at 95.80 dinars for selling purposes from jewelers, compared to 91.10 dinars for buying.
The selling prices per gram for 24K, 18K, and 14K gold for buying purposes from jewelers were 109.60, 84.70, and 66.30 dinars respectively.
According to the head of the General Union of Owners of Jewelery Trade and Shops, Ribhi Allan, the price of the Rashadi pound weighing 7 grams reached 666 dinars, and the English pound weighing 8 grams was 760 dinars.
He said that the supply of gold during the past week in the local market was weak, while demand was slightly higher, focusing on pounds and ounces for saving and investment purposes.
He indicated that the yellow metal closed its weekly trades in the global market at 4674 dollars per ounce, explaining that global political developments continue to be the main player affecting global gold prices.
