19 million dinar increase in Jordanian exports to Europe in January with a growth of 54

Khaberni - The President of the European Chamber of Commerce in Jordan, Ali Murad, confirmed that the national exports to the European Union countries experienced a significant rise during January of this year, recording an increase of 19 million dinars, which represents a growth of 54% compared to the same month in 2025, reflecting an improvement in the ability of Jordanian products to expand and compete in European markets.

Murad explained that the efforts of His Majesty King Abdullah II were fundamental in enhancing economic cooperation and opening broader prospects for Jordanian products to enhance their presence in European markets, which represent a major economic partner for Jordan.

He pointed out that the Jordanian-European partnership agreement signed in 2002 played an important role in expanding the scope of trade exchange and increasing investments, emphasizing that the current growth reflects the effectiveness of these agreements and efforts to enhance trade relations between Jordan and European countries.

Murad added that the growth was mainly concentrated in vital sectors including clothing and its accessories, nitrogen fertilizers, chemical industries, raw phosphate, and raw potash, in which the Kingdom has clear competitive advantages in terms of quality, cost, and supply capacity.

He noted that these results reflect an improvement in the performance of supply and production chains of Jordanian companies, and their ability to meet the requirements of European markets in terms of specifications and standards, thereby enhancing the prospects for expanding the market share of national products in those markets.

Murad confirmed that this performance reflects the joint cooperation between the public and private sectors, and that the quality of the national Jordanian industry is increasingly accepted in European markets thanks to the commitment of Jordanian factories to the highest production standards and international specifications.

He mentioned that the European Union, alongside the North American Free Trade Agreement countries and Asian countries, was one of the main drivers for the growth of national Jordanian exports by 11.2% on an annual basis, reflecting the diversity of export markets and the importance of enhancing economic partnerships with major international blocs.

Murad confirmed that the European Chamber of Commerce in Jordan plays a pivotal role in promoting Jordanian products within the European markets through organizing economic events and specialized exhibitions, conducting trade missions, and direct communication between the Jordanian business community and their counterparts in Europe, contributing to the building of strategic partnerships and expanding the network of trade relations and increasing the volume of trade exchange.

Murad also indicated that the chamber continuously supports efforts to open new markets for national exports, overcome obstacles facing exporters, enhance trade promotion programs and participation in international exhibitions, thus creating new export opportunities and raising the level of economic integration between Jordan and Europe.

He emphasized the need to build on this positive performance by intensifying government and private efforts to open new markets, expand the base of exported products, and stimulate investments in productive sectors, contributing to sustainable growth of national exports, supporting the national economy, and providing new job opportunities.
