Khaberni - The Meteorological Department warned of the danger of formation of freezing and frost during the late night and early morning hours, due to a temperature drop over high mountainous elevations, especially the southern heights, in addition to the desert areas, reaching low levels that may drop below zero Celsius.
The Meteorological Department urged citizens to take precaution and care while driving on the roads, and to adhere to general safety guidelines, particularly in terms of safe use of heating devices.
It indicated that the weather will be cold on Thursday in most areas, warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, and the winds will be moderate northwesterly, while the weather during the night will be generally cold, with light northwesterly winds.
The Meteorological Department warns of reduced horizontal visibility due to fog in the morning hours of Thursday over the mountainous elevations and parts of the plains, with the possibility of frost formation over high mountainous regions and parts of the desert in the early morning hours, and the formation of ice on the high southern elevations.
