Khaberni - The Cabinet decided in its session held today, Sunday, chaired by Dr. Jaafar Hassan, to form a steering committee, headed by the Minister of the Environment, to prepare and follow up on the implementation of an executive program to reduce random waste dumping for the years 2026 – 2027.
The Cabinet tasked the committee with coordinating with the relevant authorities to include in the executive program all necessary measures to enhance and maintain cleanliness in public places, launch national campaigns for awareness and education, and strengthen supervision and enforcement of law and related legislation.
The decision comes as part of the government's efforts aimed at improving the level of public cleanliness across all provinces of the kingdom and promoting positive environmental behavior among citizens.
