Khaberni - "Arab Weather" confirmed the Kingdom has been affected since the dawn of Wednesday with a precursor to an atmospheric depression, bringing unstable weather conditions.
This was evident in the rainfall in several areas, including districts from the capital Amman and the governorates of Irbid, Jerash, and Ajloun, with a focus of precipitation in the southern areas.
These rains come as a precursor to an atmospheric depression that will pass over the Kingdom on Thursday.
Thursday's forecast: Peak of activity and the risk of floods
According to "Arab Weather", a slight decrease in temperatures is expected on Thursday 12/11/2025, to be about 3-5 degrees Celsius below average.
There is a possibility of rain showers in the morning hours focused in the southwestern regions with the formation of fog.
However, during the afternoon and evening hours, an atmospheric depression classified as third degree will cross over the kingdom, characterized by its slow movement.
Rainfall will be organized, and the range of its impact will expand, resulting in cold, cloudy, and rainy weather in most of the kingdom.
The rains may be heavy at times and continuous for several hours in some areas, especially in the South of the central region, including the southern districts of the capital Amman, the Dead Sea, and Madaba up to the governorates of Karak and Tafilah.
The rains will be accompanied by lightning and thunder, which will lead to the flow of valleys, the formation of floods, and the accumulation of water on roads.
"Arab Weather" also warns of the formation of dense fog over high mountainous elevations.
Good seasonal yield and a gradual decline for Friday
During the night hours of Thursday/Friday, the weather will be cold and rainy in various areas, especially in the southern regions, with the rains remaining heavy at times and horizontal visibility decreasing.
On Friday, a slight rise in temperatures is expected, and the chances of precipitation will gradually decrease, with the possibility of rain showers from time to time, shifting their focus to the southern mountainous highlands.
Finally, Arab Weather noted that the final tally of rain amounts is expected to range between 40 to 100 millimeters in some areas, and this quantity is considered a good boost for the rainy season which has been suffering from significant scarcity since its start.
