Khaberni - Although Yasser Abu Shabab’s murder happened only days ago, sharp disputes among his cadres have begun to surface, revealing the fragility of the militia's structure which operates under the guise of “The People’s Forces” in favor of the occupation.
In a post on the platform “Facebook”, the so-called Issa Al-Turbani (Abu Nafee) disowned the leadership of Ghassan Al-Dahini—who proclaimed himself as the successor to Abu Shabab—rejecting any representative role for him in the group.
Al-Turbani confirmed in his post that he “didn't authorize the traitor Ghassan Al-Dahini to speak on his behalf and that he would not be under his command and obedience in The People's Forces nor would he ever stand with those who conspired and killed Abu Shabab”.
He indicated that the only representative for him is the so-called Hamid Al-Soufi, showing a sharp rift and disagreement over the leadership hierarchy following the elimination of Abu Shabab.
But the response was prompt, as Hamid Al-Soufi harshly attacked Al-Turbani, calling him “effeminate” and “unknown”.
Al-Soufi accused Al-Turbani in a post of attempting to split the ranks and “sowing the seeds of discord”, illustrating the extent of tension and division remaining in the gang.
The verbal clash between them reflects a power struggle that began to intensify after the vacuum left by Abu Shabab’s killing, amid questions about the group's ability to continue amid its disintegration and the deadly blows from the security of the resistance.
