Khaberni - The average number of administrative detainees decreased monthly from 2200 to 1700, according to Interior Minister Mazen Al-Faraya.
Al-Faraya disclosed the completion of upgrade projects aimed at improving visa services, where the issue of airport congestion was eradicated, and the use of stamps and tape was eliminated, allowing for the advanced payment of visa fees. Consequently, more than 1.2 million electronic visas have been issued as of December 1, 2025.
Al-Faraya stated during a meeting to discuss the budget of the Ministry of Interior and its affiliated departments with the Financial Parliamentary Committee on Sunday, that the application of the tribal expulsion document is ongoing in all clan-related issues, with more than 6000 individuals returned to their original places of residence.
He indicated that the administrative governors received about 25,000 complaints by December 1, 2025, which were dealt with in a manner that ensures public order and the protection of citizens' rights.
He explained that measures had been taken to reduce the number of administrative detentions, where the average number of monthly detainees decreased from 2200 to 1700, reflecting the commitment of the Ministry of Interior to ensure security and public order without unnecessary detention, according to Al-Faraya.
He continued: "The ministry has implemented numerous security campaigns in cooperation with the relevant authorities to curb assaults on water resources, as part of specific timed programs."
Minister of Interior affirmed that the administrative governor, by virtue of the administrative formation system, is the primary official responsible in the governorate for monitoring the course of public life. The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is divided into 12 governorates, 55 districts, and 36 subdistricts, which necessitates providing optimal capabilities for security and administrative management.
