Khaberni - On Thursday, the Ministry of Investment launched a new investment project to reduce water loss in the southern and southeastern regions of Amman, calling on qualified companies and specialized coalitions to apply for participation in the initial qualification process of the project.
The Ministry, in an announcement issued by the Public-Private Partnership Unit, stated that the project will be implemented through a performance-based contract, in cooperation with the Water Authority and Miyahuna Company, as part of the national water strategy aimed at reducing water loss and improving the efficiency of water network operations and management.
The Ministry aims to select a private sector operator to contract with the Jordan Water Authority to implement the project through a competitive and transparent tender process, in accordance with the provisions of the Public-Private Partnership Projects Law No. (19) for the year 2023, and in accordance with international best practices.
According to the announcement, the project will be launched in two phases; the first relates to the Prequalification Request (RFQ), where interested parties are invited to submit their qualifications in preparation for shortlisting, while the second phase includes the Request for Proposals (RFP), to which only the applicants included in the shortlist will be invited to submit their technical and financial bids.
The Ministry invites those interested in obtaining the initial qualification documents to contact through the designated email for the project.
The Ministry clarified that the qualification requests must be submitted personally to the Public-Private Partnership Unit at the Ministry of Investment in Amman, along with an electronic copy according to the instructions provided in the qualification documents.
The Ministry has set the final deadline for submitting the qualification requests as 12:00 noon on Thursday, April 23, 2026.
