Khaberni - Minister Saeb Khreisat discussed with the Ukrainian Ambassador to the Kingdom, Myroslana Sherbatiuk, prospects for cooperation in agricultural fields, exchange of expertise, and mutual interest issues related to food security and supporting sustainable agricultural development.
According to a statement from the ministry on Thursday, the meeting discussed prospects for developing agricultural relations between the two countries and mechanisms to facilitate the exchange of plant and animal agricultural products, cooperation in the fields of agricultural production inputs amidst the economic challenges facing the agricultural sector in the region, the current situations, and ways to activate bilateral agricultural trade, especially in the animal husbandry sector and the supply of yellow corn feedstocks.
Khreisat emphasized the importance of opening Ukrainian markets for Jordanian agricultural products, which would contribute to balancing the trade and enhancing coordination between the private sectors in both countries in the field of agricultural product exchange.
For her part, the ambassador emphasized the importance of continuing communication and cooperation between the two countries and working on developing bilateral relations in various fields, appreciating the efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture in promoting agricultural cooperation.
She pointed to her country's interest in increasing the volume of trade exchange between the two nations, especially given the high quality of Jordanian products, confirming the Ukrainian side's readiness to meet all Jordanian standard specifications for shipments of "yellow corn" to ensure the safety and suitability of these products for animal consumption.
