Khaberni - The Finance Committee will continue, on Saturday, its agenda to discuss the General Budget Bill for the fiscal year 2026.
The committee will discuss the budget of the Securities Commission, the Securities Depository Center, the Amman Stock Exchange Company, and the Jordanian Free Zones and Development Areas Group Company.
The Finance Committee will also discuss the budget of the Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs.
The committee concluded on Thursday the discussion of the budgets of 38 governmental entities during the first three days of its schedule for discussing the General Budget Bill for the year 2026.
The head of the Finance Committee, Nimer Sleihat, in a statement to "Khaberni," said that the discussions are taking place intensively, indicating that the committee decided that Saturday would be an official working day to accelerate the completion of the discussions and work to finish them according to the predetermined timetable, which requires that discussions be completed by the eighth of December.
Sleihat explained that the committee will be flexible with time if there is a need to extend the discussion period, to ensure that all government entities have sufficient time to discuss their budgets meticulously.
Sleihat had suggested that the committee will finish the discussions of the General Budget Bill for the fiscal year 2026 by the 8th of December, in order to present it under the dome of the Parliament for general discussion and voting.
