Al Fayez The security of Jordan and the security of the Gulf states form an indivisible system

Khaberni - Faisal Al Fayez, the President of the Senate, confirmed that Jordan is proceeding in dealing with various issues and challenges of the region, stemming from its national principles and supreme interests established by His Majesty King Abdullah II, reflecting the wisdom of the Hashemite leadership and its constant commitment to the security of the nation and the stability of the region, emphasizing that Jordan will not allow itself to be a battleground for any party.

Al Fayez, during a meeting held by the Amman Group for Future Dialogues, chaired by Bilal Hassan Tell, and attended by several members and public affairs enthusiasts, clarified that Iranian attacks on Jordan and the Arab Gulf states are "unacceptable, rejected, and condemned," affirming that the security of Jordan and the Gulf countries forms an indivisible system.

‏‏He pointed out that the intensive diplomatic efforts led by His Majesty the King at various international levels aim to protect Jordanian constants, spare the Kingdom from the ramifications of regional conflicts, and maintain its security and stability amid a turbulent regional environment.

‏‏Al Fayez called for the necessity to enhance the Arab joint security and defense system, along with pushing towards establishing an effective Arab economic unity, which contributes to achieving real economic integration, enabling Arab countries to possess their political decision-making and enhance their presence as an influential regional power.

‏‏He noted that the current phase requires an "Arab awakening" based on unifying ranks, and enhancing joint Arab action politically, economically, and militarily, asserting that reliance on Arab self-sufficiency has become an urgent necessity to face accelerating challenges.

‏‏In discussing the major challenges facing Jordan, Al Fayez highlighted Israeli expansionist ambitions, particularly plans to annex lands in the West Bank, reaffirming at the same time Jordan’s commitment to the two-state solution as a strategic choice to achieve peace.

‏‏He referenced the energy challenges, warning of the repercussions of any closure of the Strait of Hormuz, which could lead to a severe global economic crisis, amid what he described as the Iranian threat in the region, and its interventions in several Arab countries, making the rise in global prices an additional burden on nations and peoples.

‏‏Concerning the growing challenge associated with social media, Al Fayez said they are witnessing systematic campaigns targeting Jordan from both inside and outside, calling for handling them with comprehensive national responsibility, and setting regulations to curb their use in inciting discord and damaging the social fabric.

‏‏He affirmed that the awareness of Jordanians and their rallying around their Hashemite leadership constitute a strong fortress for the nation, noting that Jordan, despite having faced regional crises since 2003, has maintained its stability and achieved economic growth of about 3 percent.

‏‏Al Fayez emphasized the importance of building a comprehensive national strategy to enhance the national spirit, especially in schools and universities, and unifying official and popular efforts to face challenges, calling for a clear Arab stance to support the two-state solution, and for a more serious European role in this context, contributing to protecting Arab interests and maintaining regional stability.
