Khaberni - A source in the insurance sector told Khaberni that vehicles damaged by floods or what is classified as natural disasters are not covered for compensation if they are insured with mandatory insurance (third party), confirming that the insurance policy is the primary reference in determining the right to compensation.
The source explained that "policies" of comprehensive insurance differ in their coverage for natural disasters, as some include this type of damage, while others exclude it, depending on the terms of the contract agreed upon between the insurer and the insured.
Several vehicles were damaged, on Tuesday, in various parts of the kingdom due to torrential floods that accompanied the unstable weather conditions, resulting in damages to the structures, engines, and components of the vehicles.
