Khaberni - Al-Salt Greater Municipality has begun implementing the final phase of the city entrance expansion from the Licensing Street towards Ain Al-Basha signal, aimed at finding practical solutions to alleviate the traffic congestion on Al-Saru Street, which is experiencing increasing traffic congestion.
The head of the municipality committee, Ali Al-Batayneh, emphasized the priority of addressing traffic congestion and improving infrastructure to facilitate the movement into and out of Al-Salt city.
The expansion works within the project included widening streets to 20 meters and 16 meters to accommodate the increasing volume of traffic in Al-Salt city, implementing paving operations, creating a median island to organize traffic flow, and enhancing traffic safety, in addition to installing a modern lighting system along the entire street, executed by the Directorate of Electricity and Lighting.
He noted that this vital project aims to transform this entrance into an effective main artery that contributes to relieving a significant part of the traffic from Al-Saru Street, which in turn positively reflects on the smoothness of movement.
It is expected that this expansion, upon completion, will lead to a qualitative leap in the traffic scene at the city's entrances and provide a safer and smoother traffic environment for everyone.
