Khaberni - Google announced the launch of a fully developed version of its special image generation model named "Nano Banana Pro," just a few days after introducing its giant linguistic model Gemini 3.
This new version aims to enhance the user experience, especially for professionals, by offering advanced capabilities that were not possible in the previous generation, according to a report published by TechCrunch.
Leap in Image Quality
Nano Banana Pro offers advanced capabilities including higher quality, more precise texts, and professional editing capabilities, with the ability to search the web directly through the model itself.
The new model allows for image generation at resolutions up to 2K and 4K, compared to the 1024x1024 pixel resolution in the previous version, representing a significant leap in the level of detail and clarity.
Combining Multiple Elements
The new model is capable of integrating up to 14 visual elements in a single image, and uses 6 high-quality reference images, while maintaining the features of five people within the image.
It also enables writing texts inside images with high precision and in various styles, fonts, and languages, giving the user greater control over their outputs.
Cost of Usage and Challenges
Despite these capabilities, the qualitative leap comes with a higher cost of image production. The cost of an image in the previous version was $0.039, while the cost of producing an image at 1080p or 2K resolution is now $0.139, and $0.24 for an image at 4K resolution.
Also, processing operations have become relatively slower due to the large size of the data.
Gradual Rollout across Google Services
The company has started to gradually integrate Nano Banana Pro across its various tools:
- The Gemini app defaults to the new model, with usage limits in the free version.
- Subscribers to Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra receive higher limits, with the model activated in Notebook LM.
- It is now available in AI mode within search for subscribers to Pro and Ultra in the United States.
- It will also be supported in Flow for video production, and within Slides and Vids for Workspace customers.
- Developers can access it through the Gemini API, AI Studio, and the new development environment Antigravity.
Future of Visual Artificial Intelligence
Google aims through Nano Banana Pro to provide powerful tools for professionals in the fields of design and visual production, integrating artificial intelligence more deeply into the creative workflow.
This comes after the great success achieved by the previous model, confirming the company's pursuit to expand the reach of its smart technologies in various digital applications.
