Jordanian Field Hospital South Gaza8 has handled 4620 cases since its inception

Khaberni - The commander of the Jordanian Field Hospital South Gaza/8, Colonel Salman Al Akkalik, said that the number of cases handled by the staff of the Jordanian Field Hospital South Gaza /8 since the beginning of its operation in the current November has reached 4620 cases.

Al Akkalik explained that the hospital conducted 36 surgical procedures, including 4 major surgeries and 32 minor surgeries.

He pointed out that the hospital includes 36 beds distributed among 9 beds for men, 9 for women, 9 for intensive care, and 9 for emergencies, in addition to two operating rooms equipped to provide the necessary care.

He added that the medical teams through the Royal Initiative Al Amal (Hope) contributed to the fitting of 18 prosthetic limbs; bringing the total number of prosthetics fitted since the beginning of the war to about 519 prosthetic limbs.

He confirmed that the medical staff from different specialties and high competencies, and contains supportive medical professions, which contribute to providing quality medical service to Palestinians in Khan Younis.

He spoke about cases that underwent surgical operations requiring an integrated medical effort from all technical specialties, noting that the most significant surgical operations that required considerable effort from the medical team; are cases of bones in the orthopedics clinic, in addition to cases of child trauma, as newborns need additional care.
