Khaberni - Jordan won the position of First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Youth and Sports Ministers and the presidency of the Youth Technical Committee assisting the council for the next session.
This came during the participation of the Minister of Youth, Dr. Raed Sami Al-Adwan, in the meeting of the 49th session of the Council of Arab Youth and Sports Ministers in Cairo.
The Council of Arab Youth and Sports Ministers held elections for the Executive Office, which resulted in Minister of Youth Dr. Raed Sami Al-Adwan winning the position of First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Office with 19 votes out of 22, and Dr. Adwan also won the presidency of the Youth Technical Committee assisting the council for the upcoming session.
Dr. Al-Adwan expressed his pride in the confidence he received by assuming the position of Deputy Chairman of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Youth and Sports Ministers, in addition to his chairmanship of the Youth Technical Committee assisting the council, which reflects the status Jordan holds in Arab youth and sports work.
Dr. Al-Adwan said that this responsibility represents an opportunity to enhance joint Arab work in the field of youth, and to develop policies and programs that respond to their aspirations and keep pace with rapid changes, especially in the areas of empowerment, innovation, and participation in public life.
He added that Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein, gives the highest priority to the youth sector, believes in the role of youth in all areas of political, economic, social, and cultural life, seeing youth as a fundamental pillar within the pathways and visions of political, economic, and administrative modernization.
Dr. Al-Adwan emphasized the importance of sharing and participating the Jordanian youth experience with Arab youth and sports ministries to enhance cooperation, exchange experiences, and achieve comprehensive and sustainable development at the Arab level.
Dr. Al-Adwan indicated that the coming period would see enhanced coordination between the Arab Ministries of Youth and Sports and the launch of quality initiatives that serve the Arab youth and open broader horizons for them in creativity, participation, and leadership.
