It has been decided to extend the provision of exemptions and discounts on the building and land taxes (roofed premises), returns, compensations, surplus goods, rents, and their returns, to those who settle their dues before the end of next June, which are due to municipalities and Greater Amman Municipality.
The decision to extend aims to ease the burden on citizens and economic activities and encourage them to settle their financial obligations due to the municipalities and Greater Amman Municipality.
The decision includes granting a 20 percent discount on the building and land tax (roofed premises), education tax, and sewerage contribution fees for previous years and the year 2025, if the dues are settled before the end of next June.
It also includes granting a full 100 percent exemption from penalties incurred on the building and land tax and education tax for all previous years, including the penalty for the year 2025, provided that the principal tax and fees are paid before the end of the specified deadline.
Taxpayers will be granted a 25 percent discount on verification fees, returns, and compensations if payment is made before 30/6/2026.
The decision also includes granting a 25 percent discount on the value due for those requesting to purchase surplus goods and lands, if payment is made before the end of the working day on 30 June.
It also included exempting tenants of properties and buildings owned by the municipalities and Greater Amman Municipality from 25 percent of the rental dues incurred and due until the date 31/12/2025, provided that the remaining amounts are fully paid before the end of next June.
