Khaberni - An Egyptian Christian woman won an Umrah trip in a draw among employees of one of the Ministry of Social Solidarity's programs, but the reaction of Dr. Maya Morsi, the Minister of Social Solidarity, was surprising in front of the cameras.
In detail, the minister conducted a draw in front of the attendees to select 10 members of the field team participating in the comprehensive national survey of nurseries across the Republic, to honor them with an Umrah trip in appreciation of their efforts in social work, during the press conference announcing the results of the national census at the ministry's headquarters.
During the draw, one of the social pioneers, who was Christian, participated hoping to win and gift it to her Muslim colleague who longed to visit the Holy House of God; ironically, the name of another Christian woman was drawn, who then gifted it to a Muslim colleague of hers.
Immediately, the Minister of Social Solidarity intervened and decided to grant the first Christian woman's colleague an Umrah trip as well, in appreciation of the love and brotherhood between the two colleagues.
The minister also decided to award a financial reward equivalent to the value of the Umrah to the first Christian woman who did not win and her Christian colleague who won in the draw, in appreciation of their humanitarian stance.
Meanwhile, two of the women who won the Umrah trip asked permission to gift it to their mothers, and the minister approved this amid an atmosphere of happiness and mutual appreciation.
