Egypt A New Decision in the Bus Harassment Case

Khaberni - The investigative authorities in Egypt have decided to release the young man accused of harassing the bus girl.
The accused young man reached the Mokattam police station in preparation for his release.
After the investigative authorities decided to release the accused yesterday on a financial bail of 1000 Egyptian pounds, he was not released due to a previous judgment against him in a dissipation case; which hindered his release process, but he filed an opposition to the judgment, opening the way for his release.
The accused faces charges of harassing the girl and stealing a sum of money from her while they were on the bus.

One of the witnesses denied the incident, saying that the girl boarded the bus from the Baron area, and shortly after, she started screaming claiming that the accused had harassed her and stolen 200 Egyptian pounds from her, which sparked controversy among the passengers.

The public prosecution continues its investigations into the case to fully ascertain the circumstances, amid conflicting statements from the victim and the testimony of the witnesses.
