Najm Al Hayba Owais Pickles undergoes christening rituals

Khaberni - Syrian actor Owais Pickles, famous for his role "Sakhr" in "Al Hayba" series, reignited social media after a video of him inside a church undergoing the baptism ritual spread, a step followers considered an explicit declaration of his conversion to Christianity after being a member of the Druze sect.

This appearance came after a period of controversy stirred by previous posts by Pickles on his official accounts, in which he appeared wearing a cross, which opened up interpretations about his change of religious affiliation before the matter was settled by the circulated video. Until now, Pickles has not made any official clarification or comment explaining the reasons behind his decision or his personal motives.

Followers speculate that his relationship with his young Latin wife, Michelle Scarlett Sanchez, might be among the reasons influencing this transition, without any confirmation from the actor himself.

Owais Pickles and "Al Hayba"

It is noted that Owais Pickles achieved widespread Arab exposure through his character "Sakhr" in Al Hayba, which he presented in a striking style combining harshness and psychological fragility, making it one of the most prominent and influential characters in the work starred by artist Tim Hassan. Despite this, Pickles has expressed regret about participating in this popular work, in addition to mocking "Al Hayba".

Pickles continues his dramatic activity, having starred in the last season in the first part of the series Under the Ground, while his participation in the second part remains undecided. The series revolves around the intense conflict between the "Al-Safi" family in Damascus and a new competitor in the tobacco trade, sparking a series of dramatic confrontations.
