Khaberni - Samsung is preparing to unveil its newest innovation in the world of foldable phones, the Galaxy Z TriFold, which is expected to be officially released on December 5th. It will be the company's first phone to feature three folds and a giant screen that extends up to 10 inches when fully opened.
According to leaks, the device will come at a price close to $3,000, making it the most expensive phone in Samsung's history, and closer to being a luxurious showcase product rather than aimed at the general market.
Giant screen and massive battery
The new phone will carry a 5,600 milliampere hour battery, which is 27% larger than the 4,400 milliampere hour battery of the Z Fold7, providing enough power for the massive triple screen, according to a report published by "gizmochina" and reviewed by "Alarabiya Business".
When folded, the phone looks similar to the Z Fold7 with an external screen measuring 6.5 inches. When the sides are unfolded, it transforms into a 10-inch tablet, offering a distinctive experience in multitasking and content viewing.
Thick design and shocking price
The thickness of the TriFold is about 14 mm when folded, which is about 60% more than the Z Fold7, but it features an innovative folding mechanism that protects the sensitive inner screen from scratches when closed.
It is expected that the phone's sales will be limited to South Korea and a select number of Asian markets like China, with production ranging from 20 to 30 thousand units only.
While some see it as a bold leap toward the future of foldable devices, others view it as an expensive luxury experience limited to tech enthusiasts eager to collect rare editions.
