Khaberni - Laurence Al-Rifai, the head of the voluntary committee for captains of smart apps, said that the recent merger between "Uber" and "Careem" has resulted in several technical and financial problems that directly affected the drivers, especially the users of "Careem" app after moving to the new system.
He added that the merger, which was completed about two weeks ago, negatively reflected on the drivers' wages due to the new app's pricing not matching the guidelines of the Road Transport Regulatory Authority regarding waiting and the distances covered, in addition to delays in transferring financial dues to the drivers that can last up to eight days.
