Imran Badour, Ma'an Public Works Director, explained that the directorate completed the maintenance works on the Royal Platform Road within 90 days, within the scheduled timeframe for project completion, which was supervised by the directorate's staff.

He added that the works included repairing damaged sections along 3.5 km, from Dalagha point to Ras Al-Naqab area in the Ma'an governorate, using new asphalt mixtures for the damaged parts of the road, clarifying that the works included milling the old asphalt mixture, conducting necessary injections and patches, and repaving the road with a new asphalt layer to ensure quality improvement and the road's sustainability.

The maintenance work also included enhancing traffic safety elements along the entire 16 km of the road, from the Pavilion triangle towards Ras Al-Naqab, by implementing planning, painting, and installing ground reflectors, in addition to placing warning and guidance signs along the road, to ensure traffic safety in the unlit area, which experiences fog during the winter season.
