Shocking Incident in India Analyst Technician Deceives Wife and Attempts to Secretly Sell Her Kidney

Khaberni - The police in West Bengal uncovered one of the most controversial organ trafficking cases, after an analyst technician named Karitek Chakraborty attempted to secretly sell his wife Divyani's kidney without her knowledge.

According to investigations, the husband deceived his wife into believing she had a serious health issue that required urgent surgical intervention. Due to his job in the medical analysis field, he exploited her trust by listing her as an organ donor in an illegal deal with a broker.

Selling a kidney without the owner's knowledge in West Bengal, reports clarified that Chakraborty, who owns a medical lab in the Nandakumar area of Purba Medinipur district, agreed with a broker to sell his wife's kidney for 13,000 US dollars, and received an advance payment before the surgical arrangements began in a private hospital in Kolkata.

However, the wife, who began to notice suspicious behavior from her husband, informed her family about what was happening. Immediately, the police moved in, raided the place, and stopped the husband and three others believed to be involved in the network.

Extended investigations to uncover the organ trafficking network in India, a security source stated that authorities suspect the existence of an organized organ trafficking network behind this case, as the brokers who facilitated the communication between the husband and the hospital are currently being tracked.

The concerned authorities are also investigating the involvement of the private hospital, after indications emerged that donation data might have been forged to cover up the crime and hide the real identity of the donor.

The source confirmed that investigations are still ongoing, and the police are looking to expand the circle of suspects after finding digital correspondence and financial evidence indicating frequent organ selling activity through local brokers.

The incident triggered a massive wave of outrage on social media in India, where thousands of users expressed their condemnation of the exploitation of marital trust in this heinous way. Activists demanded harsh penalties for those involved in organ trafficking cases and stricter monitoring of private hospitals that might exploit legal loopholes to carry out such crimes.
