The Government Media Office in Gaza Entry of 4453 Trucks Since the Ceasefire Began

Khaberni - The Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip, on Thursday, said that a total of 4453 trucks only entered the Gaza Strip with humanitarian aid since the ceasefire began, out of 15,600 trucks that were supposed to enter by the evening of Wednesday, November 6th, according to the ceasefire arrangements and accompanying humanitarian understandings.

The office indicated in a statement that the convoys included (31) trucks loaded with cooking gas, and (84) trucks of diesel allocated for the operation of bakeries, hospitals, generators, and vital sectors, despite the severe and continuous shortage of these essential materials for the daily life of residents, after two years of killing, siege, and systematic destruction that left the genocide committed by the occupation against the Palestinians in the sector.

The statement clarified that the average number of trucks entering daily since the start of the ceasefire enforcement is (171) trucks only, out of (600) trucks supposed to enter daily according to the humanitarian protocol, confirming that the occupation still practices policies of strangulation, starvation, humanitarian pressure, and political blackmail against more than 2.4 million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The Government Media Office clarified that these limited quantities do not meet the minimum requirements of the food, medical, and living needs, and the sector urgently needs a regular flow of at least (600) trucks daily including food, medicine, fuel, cooking gas, and health sector necessities, to ensure the preservation of basic life components for civilians.

The statement emphasized that the occupation's restrictive policies deprive the Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip of more than 350 types of basic food items needed by children, the sick, the wounded, and vulnerable groups, as it prevents the entry of essential food items.

Conversely, the occupation allows the entry of larger quantities of nutritionally valueless goods such as soft drinks, chocolate, processed snacks, and chips, which reach the markets at prices more than 15 times their true value due to the Israeli occupation's control over supply chains. This confirms the occupation’s policy of engineering starvation and controlling food security, directly targeting the lives of civilians.

The Government Media Office affirmed the full readiness of government agencies in Gaza, whose work focuses only on providing humanitarian services; their readiness to facilitate and coordinate the entry and distribution of humanitarian aid in cooperation with UN organizations and Arab and international relief agencies and organizations, ensuring its reach to all provinces and vital centers for the benefit of the Palestinians.
