Khaberni - The Public Security Directorate has started, as of today Saturday, its winter traffic campaign to ensure the safety of vehicles for safe travel during the winter season.
This campaign is aimed at reducing traffic accidents and is intended to protect the lives of citizens and road users, and to provide a safe traffic environment.
The campaign, which is carried out by traffic administrations, the Royal Environmental Protection Administration, and technical crews from the Maintenance Department, includes checking the readiness of vehicles, ensuring their technical suitability for travel on roads during the winter, and their ability to handle unusual weather conditions.
During the campaign, the functionality of important vehicle parts, such as tires, lighting, glass, wipers, and vehicle engine water, will be verified. It will also ensure the operation of heaters in public vehicles and other critical components, or any deficiencies that might affect vehicle suitability or road users during the winter.
Vehicles that are examined will be given a sticker to place on the front windshield if they are ready. However, if any technical defect that affects the safety of the vehicle is found, the vehicle owner will be given a notice (without a fine) for a week to rectify the technical conditions and complete any deficiencies related to public safety.
The Public Security Directorate has called on citizens to cooperate with the personnel of the Directorate of Public Security, follow all guidelines and instructions, and perform appropriate maintenance on their vehicles to preserve their safety and the safety of others.
