AlMomani Jordan has a leading role in supporting innovation paths and digital transformation

Khaberni - The Minister of Government Communication, the official spokesperson for the government, Mohammad Al-Momani, confirmed that the choice of Amman as the capital of Arab youth and the Arab digital capital affirms the leading role played by Jordan in supporting paths to innovation and digital transformation and its belief that investing in people is the optimal way to shape the future.

Al-Momani said during the opening of the "Arab Youth Innovation and Technology Summit 2025" sponsored by the Arab League and organized by the Knights of Change Foundation for Political Development and Civil Society Development, that the summit brings together creators and innovators to empower youth and contribute to developing their skills and innovations.

He explained that the summit aligns with the government's efforts in developing digital media and enhancing transparency, which enables citizens to access information and supports the building of a knowledgeable society capable of actively participating in decision-making.

The Minister of Government Communication pointed out that the axis of innovation and digital transformation is one of the main pillars of the economic modernization vision, which aims to boost economic growth and improve the quality of life, starting from the principle of sustainability, placing youth at the heart of the developmental process, focusing on providing greater job opportunities and building an environment conducive to innovation, entrepreneurship, and developing technical skills, indicating that the conference represents a practical initiative to encourage innovation and benefit from a digital world filled with opportunities and to enhance the entrepreneurship system in Jordan.

He noted that the convening of this conference in Amman is an opportunity to reiterate Jordan's commitment to supporting youth and enabling them to actively contribute to building their future and leading change in the fields of technology and entrepreneurship, which enhances the digital and knowledge economy in Jordan and the Arab region.

Al-Momani expressed hope that this conference will be a launching point for enhancing Arab youth cooperation in the fields of innovation, knowledge, and digitization, and that it will contribute to empowering youth and inspiring them to be an active part in shaping the future.

The organizers confirmed in their speeches that the conference, which will last for two days, is part of the Arab Innovation and Investment Forum, supporting the declaration of Amman as the capital of Arab youth for the year 2025 by the decision of the Council of Arab Youth and Sports Ministers, and in line with the declaration of Amman as the Arab digital capital for the year 2025 issued by the Council of Arab Ministers of Communications.

The conference includes entities and institutions from the public and private sectors, young leaders from all Arab countries, and brings under its umbrella a selection of leaders, experts, and pioneers in thought and technology in the Arab homeland, to discuss the axes of digital transformation, innovation, entrepreneurship, green economy, artificial intelligence, contemporary education, digital media, digital health, in addition to launching regional initiatives and awards concerned with supporting innovation and youth empowerment.
