Khaberni - Speaker of the House of Representatives Ahmad Al-Safadi stated that Jordan will remain committed to the values of integrity and devotion, and to the role of the physician in defending human dignity, which the whole world has witnessed being violated by crimes in Gaza, and how the Israeli war machine bombed hospitals and places of worship.
This came during the sponsorship of Al-Safadi today, the activities of the fifty-third conference of the Jordanian Association of Surgeons and the thirteenth conference of the surgery specialty in the Ministry of Health, attended by the Assistant Director General of the Royal Medical Services for Medical City Affairs and the President of the Surgeons' Association Dr. Mohammed Al-Harout, the Head of the Jordanian Medical Association Dr. Issa Al-Khashashneh, Chairman of the Parliamentary Health Committee Dr. Shaher Shatnawi, MP Dr. Abdul Hadi Majali, among many physicians from Jordan and various brotherly and friendly countries, considering it the last event attended by Al-Safadi in his capacity as "Speaker of the House of Representatives".
Al-Safadi confirmed that His Majesty King Abdullah II clearly expressed, in front of the UN General Assembly, a truth that many shy away from, when he emphasized the necessity for the international community to stop clinging to the illusion that the Israeli government is a willing partner in peace, pointing out that their actions on the ground demolish the foundations on which peace can be established, and deliberately bury the idea of the establishment of a Palestinian state.
He added that His Majesty's speech was not only a diagnosis of reality, but also a clear call to the world to stop the double standards and recognize the inherent right of Palestinians to a homeland, dignity, and statehood, affirming that this right does not expire.
Al-Safadi stated that the message of physicians is a global humanitarian one that transcends geographical boundaries, for pain has no nationality, and healing is a right for every human being, and the physician is the first line of defense for human health and the conscience of a living society.
He mentioned that despite the pain and destruction in Gaza, the Jordanian field hospital continues its heroic role in treating the injured tirelessly, carrying the message of the Hashemites, the message of the Arab Army, and the message of Jordan in standing beside the Palestinian brothers and all those who turned to Jordan for help and support amid wars and calamities.
