Khaberni - The Electricity Distribution Company announced the launch of a new optional service with a prepaid payment system that allows home subscribers to manage their monthly bills in a flexible and easy manner, as part of its ongoing efforts to develop its services and enhance the subscriber experience in its various concession areas.
The company explained in a statement that the new service will be available starting from the first of November, where subscribers who wish to benefit from it can apply for subscription through any of the company's 35 branches located in the governorates of Karak, Ma'an, Tafilah, Aqaba, Jordan Valley, and eastern regions of the kingdom, with the service being activated immediately upon application without any delay.
The company clarified that the subscription mechanism is based on pre-paying a balance, according to the amount determined by the subscriber, through the company's approved payment channels via the "eFawateerkom" service, by selecting the prepaid subscription option and then specifying the amount to be added to the meter balance.
The company added that the new system allows the subscriber to directly monitor their consumption, where a notification alert is sent when the consumption reaches 70% of the value of the charged balance, enabling them to recharge and continue using the service with total ease.
The Electricity Distribution Company confirmed that this service represents the first step within a package of modern digital services it intends to launch soon, aiming to simplify procedures, enhance service efficiency, and improve the subscriber experience across all the company's operational areas, as part of its digital transformation plan and development of its service infrastructure.
