Khaberni - Egyptian doctor Mai Kamal El-Din, ex-wife of artist Ahmed Mekki, has decided to file a lawsuit against two Egyptian media figures, for discussing the details of her separation on a television program in a manner she described as "offensive and psychologically harmful".

Mohamed Abdel Hadi, Kamal El-Din’s lawyer, filed an official report at the "Third of October Police Department" in Giza Governorate, against one of the satellite channels and the media figures Mufida Sheiha and Soheir Jouda, claiming that their discussion of his client's personal life caused her psychological and health damages.
Abdel Hadi stated, in special remarks to Alarabiya.net, that the media figure Mufida Sheiha discussed the divorce crisis of his client from artist Ahmed Mekki in a television episode, but "the content broadcast negatively affected her mental state, necessitating her hospitalization for treatment and medical follow-up."
He also added, "Before filing the report, an official warning was sent to the channel's management demanding the removal of the episode’s video clips from all its social media platforms, and an official apology to be presented on the same program. However, the channel did not respond to the request, which led him to take full legal action."

It is worth mentioning that the cosmetic doctor had suddenly announced on her Instagram account that she separated from artist Ahmed Mekki after the death of his mother a year ago, noting that "some of his close associates and team members ruined the relationship between them." She added that some social media users directed abuse and bullying at her when she was supporting him through her account, before it became known that she was his wife.
