Khaberni - Official data released by the Department of Civil Status and Passports, reviewed by Khaberni, indicates that the number of recorded deaths for Jordanians during the year 2024 reached 27,521 deaths both inside and outside the kingdom.
Statistics reveal that the number of deaths inside Jordan was 26,591 cases, accounting for 96.6% of total deaths, while 930 deaths were recorded outside the kingdom, making up 3.4%.
The capital governorate led with 13,165 deaths, accounting for 49.5% of the total deaths inside Jordan, followed by Irbid with 4,492 deaths, then Zarqa with 3,000 deaths.
Data also showed that males accounted for 57.4% of total deaths, compared to 42.6% for females.
