How do the effects of the rainstorm in the Mediterranean reflect on Jordan

Khaberni - The weather forecasting staff at the Arab Weather Center is monitoring the developments of a rainstorm that formed in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, which is resulting from a low-pressure area accompanied by very cold air masses; this storm is directly affecting Italy, Greece, and the Balkan countries, while its indirect effects reflect on the Eastern Mediterranean region including Jordan, represented by increased thermal fluctuations in the coming days.

Scientifically, the weather systems in the northern hemisphere are interconnected, where the relationship between the shape of the weather systems in the south of the European continent and the Maghreb countries is inverse. For the countries in the eastern basin of the Mediterranean to be affected by low-pressure areas and winter systems, it is necessary for a high-pressure system to be centered over southwest Europe and the Maghreb countries.

However, in the current situation, the influx of cold winds towards the aforementioned areas leads to the offset of warm winds from the north of the Arabian Peninsula towards the countries of the Eastern Mediterranean including Jordan, which results in temperature rise and the prevalence of almost summer-like weather during daylight hours amid the sunshine due to the dominance of high-pressure systems in the upper air layers.
