Iran had closed its airspace entirely last month after Israel launched a series of airstrikes that prompted an Iranian response with rockets and drones, then reopened it following a ceasefire agreement between the two countries.
Khaberni -Iranian media denied this evening the circulated news about the closure of Iranian airspace, clarifying that flights after the end of the war are scheduled between 5 AM to 6 PM.
The website "Iran in Arabic" on its "Telegram" page stated: There is no truth to the closure of Iranian airspace, and we reiterate that flights in Iran after the end of the war operate between 5 AM to 6 PM and there will currently be no night flights."
Authorities also announced in early July the reopening of the airspace, including over Tehran, after it was closed on June 13, as reported by the agency "IRNA": Mehrabad and Imam Khomeini airports in Tehran were reopened, as well as airports located in the north, east, west, and south of the country, and they are ready to schedule flights."
The Iranian authorities had earlier clarified, "Domestic and international flights from all the country's airports, except for Isfahan and Tabriz airports, will operate daily between 5 AM and 6 PM. Flights from these two airports will resume as soon as the necessary infrastructure is available."
