Khaberni - The capital, Amman, captured the largest share of facilities and deposits granted by banks during the first quarter of the current year, with a share amounting to 84.2% for deposits, and 81.5% for loans and facilities, according to the latest data from the Central Bank.
According to the geographical distribution of facilities in the first three months of the current year, the capital Amman continued to lead the shares of facilities, with a value amounting to about 28.654 billion dinars, while the Irbid Governorate came in second place, with a significant gap from Amman, about 1.889 billion dinars.
On the other hand, the distribution of governorates that received the least financing and facilities in the first quarter of the current year saw no significant change, as Tafilah remained in the last place, with a value reaching 148 million dinars, and just before it, with a difference of about 30 million dinars, was the Ajloun Governorate, with facilities amounting to about 179 million dinars.
Also, the capital topped the total deposits among the bank statistics, as it won about 39.898 billion dinars, and following it, as with the facilities, was Irbid Governorate, with a significant gap, about 2.495 billion dinars.
Just as with the facilities, Tafilah was the lowest in the deposit list during the period from January to the end of March, with a value reaching 83 million dinars, while the ranking of Ma'an Governorate came directly before it, with a deposit value of approximately 153 million dinars.
