Oil surpasses 100 per barrel

Khaberni - Oil prices have risen and surpassed $100 per barrel as the U.S. Navy prepares to take control of ship movements in the Strait of Hormuz after the end of talks between the United States and Iran without reaching an agreement to end the war.


Brent crude futures increased by $7.11 or 7.47 percent to $102.31 per barrel by 2204 GMT, after a decrease of 0.75 percent at the settlement on Friday.

West Texas Intermediate crude was at $104.43 per barrel, up $7.86 or 8.14 percent, after falling 1.33 percent in the previous session.
