Leaked Videos from Inside Saydnaya Prison Before the Fall of Assads Regime Video

Khaberni - Activists circulated on social media three leaked video clips, said to be from inside the infamous Saydnaya Prison and dating back to the last days of Bashar al-Assad's regime.

Interestingly, the leaked clips were posted by an account named "Haydar al-Turab", who was formerly a supporter of Assad, but later deleted them.

The videos show a side of the poor treatment received by the inmates of Saydnaya, where they are forced into a waiting position, with their hands behind their heads while waiting to enter the courtrooms in the prison.

Another clip showed a military personnel from the regime's army sitting in the control center, and also shows the room responsible for organizing or denying visits to prisoners in the "Red" (Security) and "White" (Military Judicial) sections.

Later, "Haydar al-Turab" wrote that "the Ministry of Interior is the only authority responsible for the file of detainees and the missing, and it is the only authority authorized to publish or not publish any clips or tapes showing detainees or jailers".

No comment has been issued by the Syrian Ministry of Interior regarding the widely circulated clips.

It is noted that there were reports about the theft of all recording tapes in Saydnaya Prison shortly before it fell into the hands of the Syrian opposition in December 2024.

The fate of tens of thousands of Syrian detainees remains unknown, with speculations that the Assad regime may have liquidated them.
