Syria 3 sanitation workers killed in landmine explosion from war remnants

Khaberni  - Civil sources reported the death of 3 sanitation workers in a landmine explosion from war remnants in the town of Busra al-Harir in the eastern countryside of Daraa, southern Syria.

According to sources, the three workers were hit by shrapnel resulting from the mine explosion, which killed them instantly while they were in an area that had been the scene of violent clashes in past years between the former Syrian army and opposition factions, according to Russia Today.

A state of panic prevailed among the residents after the incident, fearing the presence of other unexploded war remnants in the area.

From time to time, various areas of the Daraa governorate witness explosions of objects and mines from war remnants, which cause the death and injury of many citizens who urge the government to dismantle these mines or publish maps of their locations so that citizens can avoid them due to the significant danger they pose, especially to service sector workers.
