Extension of the Tax Reconciliation Committee until the end of June 2026

Khaberni - The Cabinet decided to extend the work of the Tax Settlement and Reconciliation Committee until the end of the business day on June 30, 2026, allowing companies, establishments, and individuals to submit settlement requests for tax claims verified until 31/12/2024.
The Income and Sales Tax Department invited companies, establishments, and individuals with due tax claims until December 31, 2024, to promptly submit their settlement requests electronically through the department's website, to benefit from the facilities and exemptions according to the criteria approved by the Cabinet.
The department clarified that the settlement includes income and sales tax claims regardless of the claim amount, except for cases where a final judicial decision has been issued concerning the crime of tax evasion, pointing out that the submission of settlement or installment requests is done electronically through a dedicated form on the department’s website, without any fees or amounts due for submitting the application, whether submitted by the taxpayer or their agent.
The decision is aimed at enabling companies, establishments, and taxpayers to pay off their accumulated tax obligations from previous years and clear their tax liabilities, in addition to stimulating economic activities, ensuring their sustainability, reducing the financial burdens on them, achieving fairness among taxpayers, expanding the base of beneficiaries from the settlements, enabling those interested to resolve their outstanding claims, and enhancing their financial positions.
Note that the decision allows for settlements in tax files where final judicial decisions have been issued, except in cases related to the crime of tax evasion.
