Khaberni - Lebanese Hezbollah emphasized today, Sunday, April 26, 2026, that the continuation of Israeli breaches of the ceasefire and its aggressions will be met with a response, considering it a right guaranteed by international covenants, confirming that it will not wait or bet on "failed diplomacy" which has proven its failure, nor on a "neglectful authority".
Hezbollah stated in a release: "Today, the Prime Minister of the Zionist enemy... Benjamin Netanyahu spoke about 'Hezbollah undermining the ceasefire,' claiming the enemy has the right to 'freedom of action' in Lebanon 'according to the agreement with the United States and Lebanon.' Hezbollah condemns Netanyahu's remarks, and sternly warns of their severe danger in terms of attempting to involve the Lebanese authority in a bilateral agreement that was made only between him and Washington, without Lebanon having any consultation or stance in it, and thus, it did not approve it."
It was mentioned that "the persistence of resistance in targeting gatherings of the Israeli enemy on our occupied land and bombarding its settlements in the north (of Israel) is a legitimate response to its continued blatant ceasefire violations since day one of the temporary truce announcement, which exceeded 500 breaches by land, sea, and air, from bombings and destruction of houses, resulting in the deaths and injuries of dozens of our steadfast people."
Hezbollah added, "Extending the truce for additional weeks was supposed to, according to what the Lebanese authority stated, lead to a real ceasefire that would halt the enemy's breaches and aggressions, especially its bombings and destruction of homes in the south, but instead, it escalated its aggressiveness and attacks, confirming its criminal nature and its mockery of all laws and international treaties."
Hezbollah stated that "the Lebanese authority claimed that its main condition for attending its ominous meeting in Washington with the enemy was to demand a halt to its aggressions and to begin its withdrawal from our occupied territories, yet we have heard no public and explicit declaration from it that conditions this; on the contrary, what was issued by the Lebanese representative was merely praise for the American president, the enemy's partner in spilling Lebanese blood, which encouraged the enemy to continue its aggressions and breaches."
It considered that "the Lebanese authority has put itself in a serious quagmire when it chose to be depicted in a shameful single image with representatives of an illegitimate usurping entity, which violates its land and sovereignty, continues killing its people, and follows paths that legitimize these aggressions of the enemy."
It was noted that "today, the authority stands silent, unable to perform even the simplest of its national duties towards its land and people, spectating as the enemy demolishes homes and burns everything, while it is demanded to provide a clear explanation to its people about what the enemy claims as an agreement with it granting the freedom of attack, destruction, and killing."
Hezbollah clearly and decisively confirmed that "the continuation of the enemy in breaching the ceasefire, in its aggressions from bombings and bulldozing and destruction of homes or targeting civilians, and before all that, its continuation of occupying Lebanese territories and violations of its sovereignty, will be met with response and ready resistance to defend its land and people, which is a right guaranteed by international treaties."
And emphasized that "it will not wait or bet on failed diplomacy that has proven its failure, nor on a neglectful authority that fails to protect its homeland, as the children of this land are the real guarantee against this aggression and the expulsion of the occupation," as he described.
