Israeli mechanisms penetrate the countryside of Daraa

Khaberni - The Syrian News Agency (SANA) reported that "Israeli occupation forces penetrated, on Sunday, between the villages of Jamla and Saisun in the Yarmouk Basin in the western countryside of Daraa".

It also noted that "an occupational force consisting of about 10 vehicles penetrated the outskirts of Jamla village in the Yarmouk Basin area, before retreating and positioning itself on the Jamla-Saisun road, near the path leading to Wadi al-Raqqad."

There has been no immediate comment from the Syrian authorities on the incursion, which comes as part of the ongoing Israeli violations.

These developments come after statements by Syrian President Ahmad al-Shar', in an interview with Anatolia Agency last Thursday, wherein he mentioned that the negotiations with Israel have not reached a deadlock, but are proceeding with great difficulty due to its insistence on remaining in Syrian territories.

Ongoing Violations

In recent months, Israeli violations in southern Syria have been nearly daily, involving raiding and searching homes, setting up barriers, as well as arresting civilians, including children and shepherds.

After the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime on December 8, 2024, Israel declared the collapse of the disengagement agreement signed between the two sides since 1974, and occupied the Syrian buffer zone.

Since the overthrow of the Assad regime, Israel has launched airstrikes on Syria, resulting in civilian casualties and the destruction of military sites, vehicles, and ammunition.
