Minister of Youth We are working on preparing the national youth strategy

Khaberni - Minister of Youth Raed Al-Adwan confirmed on Thursday that the national plan for youth, security, and peace represents an advanced national framework that embodies the role of youth in building peace, enhancing social cohesion, and establishing comprehensive governance, indicating that transitioning this plan from vision to effective implementation requires an active partnership with official, national, and international institutions.

This came during Al-Adwan's participation in a workshop organized by the Ministry of Youth in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund, which included liaison officers of resolution 2250 from official institutions partnering in the plan's implementation, attended by the UN Population Fund representative in Jordan, Hamir Abdul Maghni, and the director of the Youth, Peace, and Security unit at the ministry, Dr. Montaha Obeidat.

Al-Adwan emphasized the importance of translating United Nations resolution 2250 on youth, peace, and security, which was the fruit of efforts by His Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince, during his presidency of the Security Council session in 2015, and the unification of national efforts in translating the plan's themes, adding that the ministry will work on coordinating with all national partner entities to implement the main aspects of the plan through a series of national activities and programs, by developing institutional frameworks to ensure the sustainability of national efforts on issues of youth, peace, and security.

He pointed out that the Ministry of Youth is working on preparing the National Youth Strategy (2026–2030) as a national framework that enhances empowerment and participation, with issues of security and peace included as a fundamental aspect, based on the principle that establishing active citizenship and awareness of rights and duties is fundamental to building a more cohesive and stable society.

On his part, Abdul Maghni highlighted the strategic partnership with the Ministry of Youth to enhance the implementation of Security Council resolution 2250 through the national plan for youth, security, and peace, ensuring evidence-based policies and translating planning into actual impact that touches the lives of citizens, especially the youth.
